My results are easily duplicated.

• Run Michael Welch's shareware Amiga game Scorched Tanks. It's available from www.scorchedtanks.com. If you don't have an Amiga, you can use the Ubiquitous Amiga Emulator, though it doesn't handle the game graphics very well. See my Setting up UAE page for information on using UAE.
• In the Options screen, change the explosion size to large. This insures maximum entertainment.
• Set all 4 players to computer control.
• Rename the players as follows:

  Player 1 = God
  Player 2 = Rabbit
  Player 3 = Squirrel
  Player 4 = Chicken

• Set God's intelligence to maximum.
  Leave His defensive/offensive setting at neutral.
• Set Rabbit's intelligence to maximum.
  Set his defensive/offensive setting to maximum offensive.
• Set Squirrel's intelligence to maximum.
  Set his defensive/offensive setting to maximum defensive.
• Set Chicken's intelligence to minimum.
  Set his defensive/offensive setting to maximum offensive.
• Run the games. (By twenty samples, a trend should have emerged.)
• Record the data. The result of the game averages may surprise you.

Some Questions

1. Do the results differ to those using different settings? (For example, a smaller screen size, smaller explosions, wind and gravity?) Why or why not?
2. Try changing the number of rounds. What happens?
3. Do the results of the 4 player game trials hold up with all combinations of 2 and 3 player games? Why or why not?
